Europe, South America see private jet flight activity increase as 2024 starts and the U.S. falls.
The first week of 2024 saw worldwide private jet flight activity (62,985 segments) jump 9% from Week 52 of 2023.
That was 3% below Week 1 in 2023.
The U.S. (44,151 departures) saw a 4% week-to-week gain, 5% under the same period last year.
Europe (7,174 flights), by contrast, was up 11% week-to-week and 3% higher than 2023.
With 1,532 movements, South America saw an 18% increase year-over-year.

Charter and Fractional operators flying in South America saw a 40% spike compared to Week 1 last year, although on just 91 segments.
Worldwide, the 34,915 fractional/charter segments were 2% down from last year.
U.S. fractional/charter flights (28,235 segments) dropped 5% from a year ago.
