Jet card users with participating companies can donate orphaned hours to AeroAngel’s program transporting seriously ill children.
AeroAngel is making it easier for jet card users to donate.
The charity helps seriously ill children travel to distant, lifesaving medical care on private jets at no cost to their families.
“Anyone who has experienced a private jet flight can attest to the myriad of benefits. But for a parent with a sick child desperate to access lifesaving medical care a thousand miles away, it’s more than a convenience. It’s a lifeline,” Founder and Executive Director Mark Pestal says.
He adds, “Given that private flights are out of the financial budgets of most young families, a national nonprofit, AeroAngel, has created a flight donation program to transport seriously ill children to children’s hospitals on business jet flights when an airline flight is not a viable or safe option and an air ambulance is not needed.”
Private fliers and charter companies can support AeroAngel’s mission.
Both can donate flights, flight hours, or funds on a jet card or other program.
Program members can also donate residual hours or funds expiring at the end of a contract period.
AeroAngel then aggregates those donations in its account for a child’s life-changing flight.
Current participants in AeroAngel’s program include FlyExclusive, NetJets, and Nicholas Air.
