Strong U.S. numbers keep worldwide private jet flight activity equal to 2023’s numbers for Week 27.
Worldwide private jet flight activity (63,460 segments) in Week 27 plummeted 17% from last week. But don’t worry. The sky isn’t falling.
For the week ending July 7, 2024, flying was flat compared to last year, with a 20% week-to-week falloff.
Over the past month, the 285,947 segments tracked 2% below 2023’s levels.
The U.S. showed particularly strong year-over-year trends to start 2024’s second semester.
The U.S. private jet flights (37,852) were 3% higher than a year ago in Week 27.
Florida, California, and Texas all saw gains.
“One week into July, U.S. bizjet activity is 3% ahead of last year and 32% ahead of July five years ago,” WingX Managing Director Richard Koe says.
Florida private jet departures (4,176) were up 55% compared to 2019.
Over the trailing four weeks, the U.S. (181,085 segments) and Florida (18,635) were 1% under last year’s numbers.
