The United States is the world’s largest nation for private aviation with more than 15 times as many departures as second place Canada.
The United States had the most private aviation departures during the first six months of 2024.
According to Argus Traqpak, the U.S. saw 1,516,014 business aviation departures.
That’s 15 times more than second-place Canada, which saw 101,993 private aviation takeoffs through June.
There were 2,265,571 business aircraft departures globally in the period.
That means the U.S. was responsible for 66.9% of those departures.
Second place, Canada accounted for 4.5% of the movements.
Mexico, with 41,694 departures, took the seventh spot, giving North America three of the top seven slots.
Beyond that, the Bahamas was 12th with 23,599 private flights.
After the U.S. and Canada, France placed third with 56,294 flights, according to Argus.
That put it ahead of the United Kingdom, with 48,965 flights over H1 2024 in terms of top countries for private jet departures.

Australia (44,448 departures) took the fifth place, followed by Germany with 43,471 departures.
After Mexico, Brazil (39,958 departures), Italy (31,382), and Spain (26,806) rounded out the top countries for private jet flights in 2024.
