Three of the top four best U.S. airlines according to Conde Nast Traveler have interests in private aviation.
Tradewind Aviation was ranked as the fourth-best U.S. airline by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler.
The travel magazine reported readers praising Tradewind for its “super helpful and generous staff” and operating from private jet terminals.
It added, “This company, founded in 2001, operates both charter flights and scheduled shuttles to upscale watering holes like Nantucket and Newport from its Westchester County base in the northeast and to St. Barts, Antigua, and Anguilla from its San Juan base in the Caribbean. With its fleet of (Pilatus PC-12) and Citation jets, Tradewind flies out of private air terminals, a definite plus these days.”
Delta Air Lines took the top spot, followed by JetBlue and Alaska Airlines.
Delta is the largest investor in Wheels Up, while JetBlue has been a longtime backer of JSX. Like Tradewind, JSX offers by-the-seat flights from private terminals.
