Global private jet charter broker Air Charter Service is seeing record growth in China.

The results come as WingX data shows the overall Asian market as stagnant recently.

Through the first nine months of the year, Air Charter Service offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai each set records for bookings.

Shanghai is up 40%. Hong Kong charter bookings are 18% ahead of 2023.

“Last year we identified that we needed to better focus on targeting the second-largest economy in the world, and so split our other Asia-Pacific operations from the Greater China market,” says Global President Justin Bowman.

He adds, “Our leadership team of James Royds-Jones and Wanny Wu have together helped develop those plans and have managed our team of nearly 50 people in the region in achieving them.”

Royds-Jones notes, “We opened our first Greater China operation 16 years ago, here in Hong Kong, and have grown our presence substantially in that time to now include our two thriving Mainland China offices in Beijing and Shanghai.”

Wu adds, “We have been focussing on building the strongest and most experienced team here in Shanghai, and the expansion has obviously worked well, taking the Shanghai office to new heights over this past year.”

Air Charter Service has 35 offices with 650 staff.
