Sentient Jet recaps sustainability efforts

Jet card inventor Sentient Jet is using Earth Day 2025 to recap its sustainability initiatives.

The programs were launched in 2021.

Core is its 300% carbon emissions offset included in based hourly rates.

The triple offsets account for non-carbon emissions, ensuring every Sentient Jet flight is fully emissions-neutral.

Non-carbon emissions include water vapor, aerosols, and nitrous oxide, which together account for two-thirds of an aircraft’s emissions when flying.

Earth Day 2025 Recap

This year, the unit of Flexjet, Inc. has reached over 1.6 million metric tons of CO₂ offset at no additional cost to clients since the program’s inception.

That’s equivalent to:

• The carbon is sequestered by 1.6 million + acres of U.S. forests. That’s an area of land more extensive than the state of Delaware.
• The CO₂ emissions from 1.7 billion pounds of coal burned
• The CO₂ emissions from 1.2 billion smartphones charged
• The greenhouse gas emissions from 373,208 gasoline-powered passenger vehicles driven for one year

It provides individual offset calculations in post-flight statements.

It is also developing advanced technology to add to its sustainability program, including a new, interactive offset calculator that will further empower customers to track and understand their environmental impact.

President Adam Walsh says, “Sentient Jet has built its reputation on innovation and finding new ways to make private aviation smarter, more seamless, and more responsible.”

He adds, “We were one of the first to recognize that sustainability needed to be part of that equation, and since launching our program, we’ve remained committed to leading in this space.”

Walsh continues, “As we build on our 25+ years of industry leadership, we remain focused on consistency and accountability in our sustainability efforts.”

He concludes, “Private aviation has a responsibility to evolve, and we’ll continue to invest in solutions that make private aviation forward-looking.”

Sentient Jet Offset Projects

Offsets are implemented via 4Air, the first and only rating system focused on comprehensive sustainability in private aviation.

The program has supported:

• Wind power projects in the United States, Asia, and South America
• Renewable energy projects in Turkey and India.
• Aim to reduce emissions from deforestation and degradation, support social services for 180,000 remote people.
• Protect the bonobo and forest elephant habitats in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
• Protecting 5,800 forest acres across New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine
• Installing over 400,000 affordable and efficient cookstoves to low-income Ghanaian households
