
Northern Jet says the move to promote Taylor comes as the 15th-largest fractional/charter operator continues its growth plans.
Matt Taylor is the new chief pilot at Northern Jet.
Taylor has more than two decades of professional aviation experience.
This includes over 10 years of experience in flight operations leadership.
He served in the United States Air Force for over 25 years.
During that time, Taylor held key roles including pilot, maintenance officer, instructor, test director, and operations manager.
He joined Northern Jet in 2023.
Taylor is responsible for all flight operations and pilot programs across the company’s bases in Grand Rapids, Orlando, and Naples.
His duties include overseeing pilot recruitment and training, regulatory compliance, crew resource management, and ensuring operational readiness as the company scales both its fractional ownership and charter operations.
Northern Jet is the 15th-largest U.S. fractional/charter operator based on flight hours.
Taylor holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), a Commercial Pilot, and a Remote Pilot certification.
