AvSky Charters offers members who join a pay-as-you dynamic pricing based on wholesale pricing, plus a 5% trip management fee.
Venice, Florida-based AvSky Charters has launched a membership program.
The 2023 start-up is an offshoot of AvSky Corporation, founded in 2015 by Todd Holt.
It focuses on aircraft brokerage, acquisition, valuation, and parts sourcing.
Cameron Cary launched the private jet charter arm.
Cary cut his teeth as an analyst in the aircraft sales sector.
Earlier this year, it launched its first membership program.
The membership uses wholesale dynamic pricing.
There is a 5% markup.
There are two tiers.
Premium is $20,000 per year.
Deluxe is $30,000 per year.
If you want to opt out, the fee is refundable on a prorated basis, less any outstanding monies owed for flights.
The program is pay-as-you-go.
The difference between tiers is that Premium members are restricted to booking jets with a maximum capacity of eight passengers and a range of 3,500 nautical miles.
Cary says the higher membership price to book larger and longer range jets reflects that charter brokers typically mark up a percentage.
With its wholesale price plus a 5% management fee, or markup, the higher membership reflects the larger savings flyers receive when booking larger jets.
Cancellation terms vary by operator.
Cary says his approach in launching AvSky Charters was to provide consumers with concierge-level service.
AvSky Charters is now part of the Private Jet Card Comparisons database for paid subscribers.
The database includes over 80 sellers of jet cards, memberships, new and preowned fractional shares, and leases.
There are over 500 program options subscribers can compare.
The database has been updated 107 times this year.
