Bookings for the two-week period ending December 28th are running 40% ahead of last year, doubling Flexjet’s 20% year-over-year gains.
Fractional private jet operator Flexjet is “expecting its busiest holiday travel period in the company’s 30-year history.”
The second-largest private jet operator in the U.S. has already seen a 20% year-over-year increase.
A spokesperson says that during the first two weeks of November 2025, Flexjet notched a 30% increase in aircraft-owner flying compared to the same period a year ago.
For the two weeks ending the Sunday after Thanksgiving, Flexjet has 42% more aircraft owner flights booked year over year.
For the two weeks ending December 28th, Flexjet is tracking a 40% increase in pre-bookings over 2024.
The spokesperson says the recent government shutdown is spurring increased usage.
She says, “Fresh off government shutdowns causing delays at the nation’s busiest commercial airports, those with the means to fly privately but may not have done so regularly in the past, are opting to do so with far greater frequency.”
She adds, “An appetite for consistency, dependability, and a travel experience to be enjoyed rather than endured continues to drive new and longtime aircraft owners flying at Flexjet.”
Earlier this year, Flexjet placed an order for new private jets with Embraer valued at $7 billion.
