You did it: Homes For Our Troops, Aeroangel, Able Flight

By Doug Gollan, 4 hours ago

Each year, we ask you to share your feedback on your private aviation experiences, and each year, you take the time to complete our survey.

This year, 546 of you have taken the time to complete our survey.

As promised, we have donated $10 for each of your completed surveys.

At the end of the survey, we ask you to choose between Homes For Our Troops and Aeroangel.

Homes For Our Troops

Homes For Our Troops is a publicly funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives.

Most of these veterans have sustained injuries, including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, blindness, severe burns, and/or severe traumatic brain injury.

These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives.

Three hundred sixty-three of you selected Homes For Our Troops, so I am pleased to let you know we have donated $3,630 in appreciation of your time.

Please find out more about Homes For Our Troops.

Aeroangel

Aeroangel is a tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) organization providing critically ill children with safe, private jet flights to reach distant medical care.

It has completed over 450 flights.

Every flight is free, and every journey is coordinated with care and compassion, helping families focus on what matters most—healing.

One hundred fifty-eight of you selected Aeroangel, and we have donated $1,580.

Able Flight

Fifteen of you did not select a donation.

Additionally, we received about responses from several folks in the industry who are not eligible since the survey is for consumers of private aviation, not sellers.

In fact, most of those folks told us they were pretty sure they weren’t supposed to be on the list – but we appreciate them.

We recently learned about Able Flight.

Able Flight’s mission is to offer people with disabilities a unique way to challenge themselves through flight and aviation career training, and by doing so, to gain greater self-confidence and self-reliance.

Able Flight was created by pilots who believe that the life-changing experience of learning to fly is best shared and designed the Able Flight Scholarships to enable people with disabilities to pursue that experience.

It is incorporated as a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization and is supported by the generous donations and sponsorships of individuals, foundations, and corporations.

To cover respondents who did not select a charity and surveys we could not accept, we are donating $1,000 to Able Flight.

Thank You!

A hearty thank you to all of our paid subscribers who took the time to complete our survey.

We will be doing it again in July and August.

I hope those of you who didn’t have a chance will share your voice.
