TLC Jet says private jet charter clients can get final pricing in less than an hour with human intelligence ensuring the best options.
The race to book on-demand charter flights faster is getting a guarantee, per a new promotion from TLC Jet.
Over a dozen brokers, operators, and hybrid sellers of private jet charter flights are promoting instant booking.
This means that when you visit their website, you can book at a guaranteed price, rather than waiting for a firm price response.
The online platforms claim that it often takes until the next day for brokers to present firm quotes.
However, TLC Jet President Justin Firestone says those claims are mostly untrue.
He adds that the Expedia for private jets platform pitch is not rooted in the reality of the complexity of booking private jet charter flights.
The promotion is called TLC Jet Delivers.
Firestone tells Private Jet Card Comparisons the idea is to “demonstrate how revolutionary sourcing and payment technology enables experienced charter providers like the TLC Jet team to leverage data and combine it with their market knowledge and expertise to deliver the best solutions for consumers faster than ever.”
Firestone says there is a host of problems behind the Uber for private jet claims.
“These services often come with big holes and risks,” he says.
Firestone continues, “You can’t book ASAP flights – flights for today or tomorrow – you pay right away, but in some cases, they have 24 or more hours to reject your payment or adjust the price, and you are back to square one.”
He adds, “Most of all – they oversimplify what’s a complicated decision.”
Firestone says there are over 100 different types of charter jets available.
“Each aircraft type has different operating characteristics in terms of range, seating configurations, and baggage capacity,” he notes.
He warns, “The ability to fly nonstop is often based on how many passengers, elevation, runway length of airport, and weather conditions and winds.”
Firestone adds, “Many of these online booking platforms have a 100% cancelation penalty.”
Firestone says TLC Jet uses similar and in some cases the same technology that the platforms use.
“We then take that information, ensure that the quoted aircraft is indeed available, and ensure that the options we present to the client are from operators with aircraft that are actually capable of completing the trip,” Firestone says.

Firestone says the tech platforms are counter to trends among high-net-worth consumers in other industries.
