Last year, Paul had surged to 8th place.
He has been ranked in the top 50 since 2021.
He has five career ATP singles wins and a bronze medal in men’s doubles during the Paris Olympics.
So far, he has advanced to the round of 16, where he is facing Spain’s Carlo Alcaraz, ranked third in the world.

Paul hails from Boca Raton, Florida.
