California-based Silver Air has relaunched its membership program with dynamic pricing and a list of benefits for clients.
Silver Air Private Jets has relaunched its private aviation membership program, Flight Club.
The program requires a minimum $100,000 deposit, a minimum balance to keep the account open, and several member benefits.
California-based Silver Air launched Flight Club in 2020 with fixed pricing and dynamic pricing options.
The new program uses dynamic pricing.
Members’ prepaid account pays for charter flights.
There are no membership fees, and unused account balance is fully refundable.
Jessica Rust, president of Silver Air’s Flight Club, spoke with Private Jet Card Comparisons about why the operator relaunched its membership with dynamic pricing.
The program uses both Silver Air’s fleet and third-party charter operators.
“You sell (jet cards) at X rate,” she explained, regarding fixed pricing. “And now you have to go find the cheapest option.”
Rust continued:
‘And you’re motivated as a broker to go find that cheapest option. It loses that white glove service, and I want to get you the best plane for this option instead of the cheapest plane for this option.’
About 55% of clients are members, said Rust, compared to those who charter ad hoc.
Silver Air wants to bring that number up to 80% to build a large, stable membership and strengthen customer loyalty.
Clients and members can specify aircraft types, vintage, and amenities, with several benefits;
Regarding the charity contributions, Silver Air will donate to about five charities, Rust told Private Jet Card Comparisons.
The company will have the list of chosen charities finalized by the end of October.
As with most dynamic pricing programs, terms are restrictive for one-way flights if you cancel or make changes after booking.
Silver Air is also hitting the road to attract new clients for both its charter programs and aircraft management.
Rust said the company will be present at the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, from October 29 through 31.
