Surf Air Mobility Inc. has appointed Jason Secore as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective September 30.

Jason Secore, who was previously CFO of Matternet, is replacing Oliver Reeves, who is stepping down after 3 years in the role.

Secore previously served as CFO of Matternet, an aviation tech company based in California.

Before that, per his LinkedIn profile, he held various executive finance roles at finance and aviation companies dating back to 2008.

“I look forward to working with the team,” said Jason Secore in a Surf Air press release. “And bringing my background in public-company finance, investor relations, capital markets, and aviation operations to help strengthen financial execution, support disciplined growth, and build long-term shareholder value.”

“Jason’s background in capital markets and aircraft financing,” said Deanna White, Surf Air CEO. “Combined with his aviation operating experience, gives him an in-depth, practical understanding of both Surf Air Mobility’s airline operations and software businesses.”

White continued:

‘We are confident he will strengthen our financial operations as we continue our path to profitability across SurfOS, our scheduled airline, and Surf On Demand private charter.’

Oliver Reeves, the former CFO, joined Surf Air in late 2023.

His appointment came just a few months after Surf Air went public in August 2023.

Per the Surf Air press release, Reeves “is stepping down to pursue other opportunities.”

Reeves will remain a paid advisor to Surf Air for one year, according to an SEC filing.

“I am grateful for my time at Surf Air Mobility,” said Reeves. “And the opportunity to work with an incredibly dedicated and talented team focused on transforming the future of flight. I look forward to continuing my relationship with the company as an advisor.”
