The Florida-based operator received the registration from the International Business Aviation Council, their third safety certificate.
Northern Jet has become IS-BAO certified, adopting a new safety system and passing an IBAC audit.
The International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations was issued to the Orlando, Florida-based operator last August. It is valid for two years.
“IS-BAO registration,” said Tim Reeve, Northern Jet Safety Director, in a press release, “Reflects the work our team has put into strengthening Northern Jet’s systems, processes, safety practices and culture.”
Reeve continued:
‘The audit provided a detailed review of how we operate and how safety is incorporated into our day-to-day decision-making. Achieving this registration validates that work against a respected global business aviation standard and strengthens our operational foundation as the company continues to grow.’
The certification follows Northern Jet’s Argus and Wyvern certificates.
IS-BAO is a safety management system for business aviation.
The certificate requires implementing it in the company, and then verifying its integration.
