Founded in 2017 by Ultra High Net Worth Portuguese business entrepreneur Edgar Costa, ECOJETS offers members a VISA or MasterCard debit card. Members get credits posted to their debit card off of guaranteed hourly rates up to 35% for each trip. They can then use the credits for purchases anywhere the debit cards are accepted. Pay as you go programs start with a $20,000 deposit. Recently Costa became the subject of fraud allegations related to the bankruptcy of a hotel in New York. As of December 2018, the website was no longer working although Costa claimed he was merging with another company.
