Alliance Aviation joins private jet push to aid the Bahamas

Jet card broker Alliance Aviation is promoting travel to the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian

Start-up jet card broker Alliance Aviation is joining the push by business aviation to help in the recovery of the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian.

The National Business Aviation Association reported during the storm, “FBOs across Florida are getting flights coordinated for when they are cleared into the Bahamas, and many are using hangars as staging areas for supplies.”

Alliance Aviation adds Phenom 300 jet card

Embraer’s popular Phenom 300 is red hot in the jet card market as Alliance becomes the third provider in five months to add a program dedicated to the light cabin jet

The Phenom 300 jet card is priced at $6,995 per hour, plus 7.5 percent Federal Excise Tax

Aircraft specific jet cards are growing in popularity as an option between full and fractional ownership and on-demand charter. Users like them because they know ahead of time what they are getting, and they also know baggage limitations and range constraints. You can put down start-up Alliance Aviation as hopping on the wagon.

Dumont Aviation, ousted CEO Wargo, trade lawsuits

The June exit of Dumont Aviation Group co-founder and chief executive Kevin Wargo has resulted in an exchange of lawsuits and accusations which now includes Alliance Aviation

Dumont alleges Alliance, launched by a former Dumont executive, is using confidential information and its website is registered to Wargo’s sister

Last year during the National Business Aviation Association’s annual conference in Orlando, former Dumont Aviation Group CEO Kevin Wargo seemed to be guiding the Delaware-based charter operator to a prominent position in the industry.

The company was monthly taking delivery of one to two former NetJets’ Dassault Falcon 2000 large-cabin jets. After refurbishing the cabins and upgrading avionics, Dumont looked poised to be a key player in the heavy jet market with what would be a floating fleet of two dozen of the 10-seaters.

A new jet card allows you to trade in your old private jet for flight hours

Alliance Aviation has joined with Encore Parts for the industry’s first-ever used aircraft trade-in program

Separately, the jet card broker launched a membership that pays interest on your deposit with flight credits

With a significant number of older private jets facing big upgrade costs to meet the compliance standards of ADS-B, or Automatic Dependence Surveillance-Broadcast, which go into effect in January, owners of those planes need to make decisions quickly.

For many, they will need to ground their jets as they look to buy new ones or perhaps hurry into a deal that doesn’t make sense.
