Jet card and charter operator Delta Private Jets is expanding its fleet of long-range private jets adding a Dassault Falcon and three Gulfstreams
Delta Private Jets has added three long-range Gulfstream aircraft and a Dassault Falcon 900 to its fleet of managed private jets, the company said, citing “response to customer demand for more options to experience the ultimate in-flight luxury and private jet access.”
“Our customers have told us they love our products and want
a similar experience for longer-range flights,” said Rex Bevis, president and
CFO, adding, “These new aircraft will provide that choice, and position Delta
Private Jets as a market leader in making long-range private jet travel readily
available for customers.”
After the June merger of JetSmarter and XOJET, the new FlyXO.com has been tweaking the jet sharing part of its offering
Vista Global is continuing to put its stamp on its XO brand since merging JetSmarter and XOJET at the beginning of the summer. First, it added JetSmarter’s jet sharing functionality to the former XOJET dynamic jet card pricing memberships.
The move meant that XO Select and Signature memberships could all of a sudden share seats on flights they had booked with their deposits. Elite members who get fixed rates can’t share seats on those flights, but otherwise, get all the perks a JetSmarter member received.
XO also tweaked Select Access and non-member options. In essence, there are two versions of Select Access. But the big news is non-members can now book seats on at least some empty legs.
One benefit of flying privately is the ability to access alternate airports during bad weather
Winter weather in the mountains can mean airport closings and delays. Jet card and on-demand charter broker Magellan Jets says one benefit of flying privately to your ski vacation means while commercial fliers see their trips canceled, there’s always a backup plan with private jets. It says, “The Magellan Jets team is always prepared to give our clients up to the minute notifications when and if your flight’s plans must change due to weather at any of these airports.” Recently it outlined U.S. destinations most likely to be impacted by extreme weather and best alternate airports.
