Private jet membership seller JetSmarter is launching more changes
JetSmarter continues to be in the news. On August 10, it put out a news release that it had obtained more funding. It still has not disclosed how much new money it raised, however, in what appears to be a communication to members published on the website Flyertalk, the jet membership seller laid out some significant changes.
Jet card seller Sentient is launching its first private jet shuttle flight in November
Breeders’ Cup is one of thoroughbred horse racing’s most prestigious events, and Sentient Jet announced a partnership that will provide equestrian enthusiasts the chance to fly directly from the 2017 Breeders’ Cup World Championships in San Diego to Lexington, Kentucky to attend the annual November Thoroughbred sales at Fasig-Tipton and Keeneland. Consumers will be able to purchase individual seats on the Breeders’ Cup chartered aircraft, allowing them to enjoy the weekend’s races in Southern California and still arrive in Lexington in time for the sales.
Private Jet by the seat comes to Europe
As previously reported, Surf Air Europe last week launched on June 23rd with a single route from London’s Luton Airport to Ibiza, Spain. London to Cannes starts on July 4, and after that Zurich looks like it will join the network in September. The U.S. by the seat private aviation membership provider has been operating since 2013. This demonstrates Surf Air’s confidence in expanding this service into Europe.
The rich are getting richer. Commercial airline service is getting worse as is the airport experience. Luckily, there are more ways to fly via private aviation where you don’t have to be worth $50 or $100 million and more.
