TRAQPak Shows 5.2% Increase In Flight Activity For August

Year over year flight activity (August 2017 vs. August 2016) from TRAQPak data indicates that August 2017 posted a significant increase, up 5.2%. The results by operational category were all positive with Part 135 recording a substantial yearly change, up 10.9%, Fractional activity recorded a rise of 7.0% and Part 91 activity increased 0.9%. The aircraft categories were all positive as well with large & light jets posting the largest gains, up 7.2% & 5.5% respectively. Mid-size jets and turboprops recorded gains of 4.8% & 4.5% in that order. 

 

August business aviation flight activity posted an expected month over month increase to finish up 5.8% from July 2017. Results by operational category were all in the black for the month, with Part 91 posting the largest monthly increase, up 7.3%. Part 135 & Fractional flight activity posted gains of 4.5% % 3.8% respectively. Aircraft categories were also positive with large jets posting the largest monthly increase, up 7.0% from July. Turboprops, light jets, and mid-size jets posted monthly increases of 4.9%, 6.5% & 5.7% respectively.
