President Bill Clinton, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Bradley Cooper and Karlie Kloss are among the speakers at the fifth annual T&C Philanthropy Summit.
Flexjet, which sells fractional shares, leases and jet cards, is joining title sponsor U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management and City of Hope, De Grisogono, Flexjet, and 1 Hotels & Baccarat Hotels at the luxury lifestyle magazine’s fifth annual philanthropy confab. Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda, a Pulitzer Prize, Tony-, Emmy-, and Grammy Award-winning composer, lyricist, and actor is headlining the event being held today.
Other speakers include model Karlie Kloss, television anchor and O, The Oprah Magazine editor at large Gayle King, actor Bradley Cooper, entrepreneur Sean Parker, and Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes. For private aviation companies, exposure during events like this provide awareness both with the target market for private aviation users and influencers who run in the same circles.
According to Town & Country topics include Activism as the New Philanthropy, Rewriting the History of Violence, The Politics of Patronage, The Future of Cancer Care, Conscious Capitalism and How to Make Philanthropy a Family Tradition. Last year Kenn Ricci, the chairman of Flexjet, parent Directional Aviation Capital, and his wife, donated $100 million to the University of Notre Dame, his alma mater. The university said it was “the single largest unrestricted guaranteed gift ever committed to the university.”
In the jet card space, Flexjet offers cards based on the Embraer Phenom 300 and the Bombardier Challenger 350. It’s larger business is fractional shares and leases, and it recently launched a new corporate solutions program. Its Red Label fleet refers to aircraft which each has the same configuration but unique high-end designs providing customers with an elevated in-flight experience (pictured above). Directional Aviation also controls Sentient Jet, a leading jet card seller and Skyjet which last year launched a membership program providing guaranteed availability in addition to on-demand charter.
