StraightLine Private Air was launched last year by Exclusive Resorts co-founder Tom Filippini with a focus on turboprops, piston aircraft and light jets.
StraightLine Private Air has added Bandon Dunes, Cabot Links and The Prairie Club as preferred partners for the jet card membership program’s customers, according to an email it released. According to the announcement, the company is offering a limited number of gift cards for up to a $3,500 in cash credit to be used with its partners. To take advantage of the offer, you need to join StraightLine by June 22, 2018.
The company has three membership levels: $50,000 (Silver), $100,000 (Platinum) and $200,000 (Black). Instead of fixed one-way rates and guaranteed availability which are part of traditional jet card programs, StraightLine joins the growing number of jet card sellers who use dynamic pricing. Dynamic pricing simply means that for each trip StraightLine sources aircraft based on availability, standards and best pricing. The cost of each trip is deducted from your account on a trip by trip basis.
Platinum members receive a $2,500 flight credit bonus while Black level members get $5,000. Funds in the two higher-level programs don’t expire whereas Silver card funds expire after 18 months. Platinum members can also designate immediate family plus one additional person as a lead passenger to use the account while Black members can name five alternate lead passengers beyond immediate family.
By focusing on single and twin-engine piston aircraft such as the Cirrus SR20 and Beechcraft Baron G58, the King Air 350 and Pilatus PC-12 as well as very light jets such as the Embraer Phenom 100 StraightLine says most members are flying at hourly rates between $800 per hour and $5,000 whereas typical jet card programs typically see price ranges between $4,000 and $18,000 per hour.
Oregon’s Bandon Dunes is a Scottish links golf course. Cabot Links is in Nova Scotia. The Prairie Club in Valentine Nebraska has two courses ranked in Golf Digest’s Top 100.
