Sentient Jet sells fixed-rate, guaranteed availability jet cards by cabin size, including a super-midsize WiFi guaranteed card.
Directional Aviation’s Sentient Jet announced it is continuing its support of Homes For Our Troops, a nonprofit organization that builds specially adapted custom homes for severely injured Veterans, through the sponsorship of the organization’s 8th annual Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, August 20th. The announcement builds upon Sentient Jet’s larger awareness campaign in support of the organization, which began in May with the private jet company’s sponsorship of Kentucky Derby contender Combatant and continued with sponsorships at the subsequent Preakness and Belmont Stakes.
In addition to the significant media and public attention that the campaign has generated thus far, Homes For Our Troops has received nearly $80,000 from those who were inspired to give after learning about the organization and partnership. With the aim of bringing continued awareness to the cause and providing valuable resources and funds for the organization, Sentient Jet’s involvement in the golf tournament also speaks to the company’s strong Boston roots and passion for philanthropy.
“Coming off of the success of our Triple Crown campaign, Sentient Jet was eager to identify another opportunity to further boost the visibility and reach of Homes For Our Troops, one of the Veteran community’s most effective organizations that continues to inspire us with the tremendous good they do every day,” said Andrew Collins, president and CEO of Sentient Jet. “As such, we couldn’t be happier to act as a sponsor of this exciting tournament, a role that simultaneously allows us to celebrate our local Boston community which we so highly esteem.”
The tournament will take place on Monday, August 20th at the Walpole Country Club just outside of Boston, Massachusetts and will welcome several celebrated members of the Veteran community, including Army Sergeant Patrick Wickens, Marine Sergeant Dustin Johns, Marine Lance Corporal Hector Luna Rodriguez, Army Specialist Ryan Wilcox, and Marine Corporal Steven Bultje. Also in attendance will be Homes For Our Troops Chairman of the Board General (USA, Retired) Richard Cody and President and CEO Brigadier General (USA, Retired) Tom Landwermeyer.
In addition to providing special gifts for all participating players and Veterans, Sentient Jet will sponsor two of the tournament’s most charming challenges – the “Hole-in-One” and “Closest to the Pin” competitions. The private aviation company will gift the Hole-in-One winner with a $20,000 flight card, with a matching $20,000 direct donation pledged to Homes For Our Troops, while the Closest to the Pin winner will receive a Scotty Cameron putter and Sentient Jet golf swag bag.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Sentient Jet for this special day of fun and philanthropy,” said Homes For Our Troops President and CEO Brigadier General (Retired) Tom Landwermeyer. “Sentient Jet has been a wonderful supporter of Homes For Our Troops. Their commitment to helping our nations’ most severely injured Veterans is paramount to the continued success of our mission. Our annual golf tournament is one of our organization’s most highly anticipated events of the year. We appreciate the outstanding support of Sentient Jet as one of the sponsors of this years’ tournament.”
Homes For Our Troops builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post – 9/11 Veterans. Most of these Veterans have sustained life-altering injuries, and these homes enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. Since its inception in 2004, nearly 90 cents of every dollar spent has gone directly to program services for Veterans. Homes For Our Troops builds homes where a Veteran chooses to live and continues its relationship with the individual after home delivery. Empowered by the freedom that a donated, specially adapted custom home brings, Veterans can focus on their recovery and returning to their life’s work of serving others.
