Airstream Jets is offering a rate lock giving 2018 rates for 2019 when you sign up before the end of the year. Airstream sells in two denominations, $25,000 (Silver Distance Card) and $100,000 (Gold Distance Card), plus the 7.5% Federal Excise Tax.
In comparing its 2018 and 2019 rate cards, of 20 pricing categories, 12 are going up with increases of up to 12.5%, so there are some significant savings from the rate lock. For flights under 1,000 miles, rates for a small jet (4 passengers), light jet (6 passengers), super-midsize jet (8 passengers) and heavy jet (10 passengers) are going up by $1 per mile. Rates for midsize jets will stay at $17 per mile.
