Following the exit of its former CEO and several other executives in June, Delaware-based Dumont Aviation Group has named Robert Flansburg as chief operating officer. The company sells jet cards, fractional ownership, and on-demand charter, and has been in the news as it grows its fleet of the popular Dassault Falcon 2000.

He is a consistent and trusted leader and his passion for aviation together with his deep subject matter expertise will enable us to continue delivering industry-leading customer service, broaden our industry footprint, and execute on our growth strategy,” says Daniel Piraino, CEO and founder of Dumont.
The appointment was effective July 29, 2019.
Prior to joining Dumont, Flansburg served in a similar position for Sikorsky Helicopters as well as senior director of operations for Dassault Falcon Jet and director of completions for Bombardier Aerospace.
In a press release, Dumont said Flansburg “brings experience and a proven track record of success in the corporate aviation area, which will be invaluable for our customers, partners, and stakeholders.”
Dumont is expected to have over 25 Falcon 2000s by end of the year, buying and refurbishing the type as they are being retired from the NetJets fleet. It has bases Allentown, PA; New Castle, DE; Bloomington, IL; and Fort Worth, TX. It also offers maintenance repair and overhaul, and aircraft parts.
