Tradewind Aviation, which offers both on-demand charter and jet cards, is adding to its scheduled by-the-seat service. The new flights are on its fleet of Pilatus PC-12s.
Services will operates on this summer on Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays, and Mondays between Westchester County Airport (HPN) and Newport State Airport (NPT) in Middletown, Rhode Island.
NPT is just 10 minutes from downtown Newport.
Flights from Westchester County will depart from the Million Air FBO with complimentary valet service and streamlined security. Passengers can arrive just 30 minutes before flight time.
Flight time in either direction is approximately 35 minutes and rates will start from $245 plus tax each way. There are no other scheduled flights on the route. For users, time savings will be as much as two of hours in each direction over the alternatives.
Tradewind has been operating shared charter flights since 2002 with service to Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard and Stowe.
“We are thrilled to launch new flights to one of New England’s most iconic towns,” says David Zipkin, Tradewind’s co-owner and vice president.
He added, “Newport has been an increasingly popular private charter destination for Tradewind, so the time is right to launch our signature shared charter service.”
Flights will operate from June 26, 2020, through Sept. 8, 2020.
Tradewind’s jet card offers fixed rates on its PC-12s in the Northeastern U.S. It also offers on-demand charters on its Cessna Citation CJ3 fleet. It also offers a frequent flyer program that rewards a free-one way flight after 10 flights.
