Tradewind Aviation, which already offers a Pilatus PC-12 based jet card program and scheduled shuttle flights, is now adding an option for private shuttle flights.
The move is the latest response from private aviation providers in response to the Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic. Research shows exposure the virus is more than 30 times lower when flying privately as opposed to using the airlines.
Tradewind’s new private shuttle option allows you to secure an entire aircraft for only your party. It offers a significant discount compared to a normal on-demand private charter.
Private shuttles are available at set times during the day and use its fleet of commuter-configured PC-12s. The shuttles can be booked on any routing from Westchester County Airport or Teterboro Airport to locations within 200 miles.
On existing shuttle routes to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, ticket book holders can secure the entire aircraft by allocating at least five tickets. Pricing on all routes for private shuttles is at least 20% below normal on-demand charter pricing, the company says.
In terms of how it works, changes and cancelations may be made without penalty up to 48 hours prior to departure. Shuttles depart on time with a recommendation to arrive at least 15 minutes before departure.
Possible options include Teterboro or Westchester to Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, Montauk, East Hampton, Newport, Provincetown, Block Island, and Chatham.
