Data from the internet provider corresponds to other industry tracking reports showing private jet travel bouncing back

Inflight internet provider Gogo Business Aviation says last Thursday the number of daily private jet flights with its inflight connectivity reached 3,039.

The company said prior to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, flights with the Gogo service averaged 3,500 daily. That puts the recovery to 87% of normally expected activity.

In mid-April, when many aircraft owners chose to park their aircraft, 30% of Gogo Business Aviation’s accounts suspended or downgraded service.

“I’m encouraged because we’re seeing several positive trends taking shape in the market,” said Sergio Aguirre, president of Gogo Business Aviation.

At its nadir in mid-April, Gogo said daily flights fell to just 378, close to 90% below the norm.

The internet provider’s data correlates with updates from both Argus and Wingx both showing a strong recovery for business aviation.

Private Jet Travel Rebound Continues in June

Through June 23, the Wingx Weekly Global Tracker reported weekend traffic was at 85% of comparable weekends in June 2019.

The most recent TSA data shows U.S. airline passenger totals remain at around 20% of pre-COVID-19 levels.

According to its website, Gogo Business Aviation plans for its 4G service can range up to $4,675 per month.
