Directional Aviation’s PrivateFly is expanding its winter City Pair fixed-rate private jet charter flights to Dubai through the end of January. For a set price, you get the entire aircraft. In this case, seating up to eight passengers.
The launch of the new ‘City Pairs’ follows a rise in demand for private jet flights, as clients seek to escape after the lockdown, for holidays in Europe, or winter sun in the Middle East.
PrivateFly’s City Pairs, first launched in 2019, are route pairings on specified aircraft types with prices fixed and guaranteed, rather than subject to usual market variables.
Previously flights were within Europe, so the fixed rates to Dubai is something new.
PrivateFly CEO Adam Twidell said: “Following the month-long UK lockdown, we are now seeing a rise in flight demand as we approach the end of the year, with clients heading to a variety of destinations in Europe, and a strong interest in flights to Dubai.”
He added, “In a year filled with so much uncertainty, we are happy to be able to offer guaranteed pricing on select routes this winter. Private jet travel continues to have compelling appeal as travelers look to get away in their own bubble, with the least possible exposure to COVID-19. People are still booking at short notice, and we are now starting to see a pent-up demand to travel throughout December and January.”
A one-way flight between London and Dubai (in either direction) is priced at €47,000 (£41,850) for a whole aircraft charter. Geneva to Dubai is €41,000 (£36,500), while from Moscow is priced at €43,000 (£38,500) each-way, and Paris is €44,000 (£39,500).
The fixed rates are guaranteed thanks to PrivateFly’s relationships with key operator partners, including those within the wider Directional Aviation family, and committing upfront to volumes on selected routes. Directional includes Sentient Jets, FXAIR, and Flexjet, which officially launched its European fractional share and lease program.
