Brady vs. Mahomes pairs Wheels Up against Airshare

By Doug Gollan, January 25, 2021

Wheels Up ambassador Tom Brady will try for his 7th Super Bowl title while Patrick Mahomes, who fronts for Airshare, will go for back-to-back Vince Lombardi Trophies

Two NFL greats will meet on Feb. 7 in Super Bowl LV in Tampa Bay as the hometown Buccaneers host the Kansas City Chiefs. Bucs quarterback Tom Brady is an ambassador for Wheels Up in private aviation, while Patrick Mahomes fronts for Airshare.

For Brady, he will be seeking his seventh Vince Lombardi Trophy and his first with a team not called the New England Patriots. Earlier this year, Brady helped Wheels Up boss Kenny Dichter promote COVID-19 relief via a program called Meals Up in conjunction with Feeding America.

Only in his fourth season, Mahomes will he seek to repeat on last year’s Super Bowl win. It would be the first time a team has won the NFL’s top prize back-to-back since Brady did it in 2005.

In that game, Brady beat the Philadelphia Eagles, then coached by Andy Reid, now the head coach of the Chiefs and who has also been an endorser for Airshare.

In terms of other jet companies that might have a rooting interest is Sentient Jet. One of Brady’s receiving targets will be Rob Gronkowski, a tight end, who has worked with the jet card seller as an ambassador.

It’s not clear how many private jets will make it to the Super Bowl this year due to limited seating. The event typically draws over 1,500 private jet flights.
