Private jet operator flyExclusive, which last year launched its jet card program, is now enabling customers to pay with cryptocurrency

Eighth largest U.S. for hire private jet operator flyExclusive is accepting cryptocurrency payments. You can pay for both on-demand charter service and Jet Club, its jet card program.

Through a partnership with BitPay, a large BitCoin and cryptocurrency payment service provider, travelers can now use Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other cryptocurrency forms.

“Technology continues to reshape how commerce is conducted and cryptocurrency has emerged as a highly attractive investment for many of our current and prospective clients,” said Mike Guina, president of flyExclusive. “Because of this, we’re embracing the opportunity to offer cryptocurrency payments as another way to deliver value, convenience, and premium service for our clients.”

The company said Jet Club, which has experienced over 40% month-over-month growth since launching in May. The program provides fixed one-way pricing. That means no ferry fees. You also get guaranteed availability across the company’s fleet of light, midsize, and super-midsize private jets. A large cabin program is expected to be added in the future.

Its jet card requires a $150,000 payment. It features industry-low hourly pricing in exchange. Call-outs are either 72 or 96 hours. That’s longer than other programs that feature booking deadlines of as little as 8 to 24 hours. For folks who don’t need that last-minute option, they can save quite a bit of money.
