A new NetJets private terminal at the site of the Masters in Augusta, Georgia will also help support regional flight operations.
The private terminal being built for NetJets clients in Augusta, Georgia, has a broader impact than just serving flyers attending the Masters or playing golf at Augusta National Golf Club.
That said, plenty of NetJets customers will get a first look at the private facility when the 2026 version of the classic golf tournament begins next week.
The 432,000 square feet of ramp space for aircraft parking will be completed.
Foundational walls of the future facility are already sprouting up.
NetJets expects up to 775 arrivals and departures this year.
Last year, from the Sunday before the tournament through the Monday after, the world’s largest private jet company operated 580 arrivals and departures to and from 36 different U.S. states.
That was up from 430 movements in 2024.
Overall, NetJets flights at Augusta Regional Airport were up 27% year-over-year in 2025.
AGS Executive Director Herbert L. Judon, Jr. says, “The NetJets terminal marks a significant business development milestone for the Augusta Regional Airport.”
He added, “It will deliver premier customer service, increase airport activities, and provide a significant economic infusion for the airport and the region.”
NetJets President Patrick Gallagher says the new ramp space will also support operations in Atlanta and Charlotte.
Per the press release:
‘With heightened strain on aviation infrastructure, this development will help guarantee access to mission-ready aircraft, not just at Augusta, but also at other Southeast airports, including Atlanta and Charlotte, that often experience congestion in the air and on the ground. In addition, this reinforces NetJets’ leadership across the private aviation industry.’
Peachtree-Dekalb Airport in Atlanta is 132 miles away.
Charlotte-Douglas Airport is 140 miles from AGS.
Both are among the busiest airports for private jet flights.
Gallagher says, “In a perfect world, we would have all the space that we need (at congested airports), but in the absence of being able to get as much real estate as we need to support this fleet, then we look where we can get it nearby.”
He adds that the new AGS ramp will enable NetJets to park aircraft overnight and conduct service, and then ferry them to pick up owners at airports that don’t have enough ramp space.
Gallagher said Augusta is one of over 20 real estate projects “in various phases of development right now.”
NetJets has been expanding its network of terminals.

Last year, NetJets, Inc., including Executive Jet Management, saw a year-over-year increase of 53,737 flight hours in North America, the most of any operator.
That followed an increase of 55,834 hours from 2023 to 2024, also tops in the industry.
Gallagher said future demand, based on sales lead metrics, is tracking on par with both 2024 and 2025 in 2026.
What’s more, Gallagher says the quality of leads remains high.
In terms of renewal rates, he said retention rates of current customers are as “high as we’ve ever seen them.”
Gallagher said airline cancellations and airport delays are also boosting current demand.
“Lately, with weather patterns as we’ve never seen before this winter, global conflicts going on, the pressures on the airlines and the TSA constraints that we’re all seeing, we’re seeing record numbers of last-minute bookings,” Gallagher said.
Gallagher said those bookings are “being driven by people worrying that their commercial flight is in jeopardy.”
Gallagher noted many customers use a “mix of NetJets and commercial,” adding, “They worry that their (airline) flight’s in jeopardy, and so they call us to alleviate that worry, and that just continues to drive demand for us.
