While the Masters fell short of expectations for AGS arrivals, the U.S. private jet flight activity surged to a near 52-week high.
Over the past week, private jet flight activity recorded nearly 82,000 total departures worldwide.
This was a large bounce back after a slight decline recorded last week.
During week 15, private jets recorded 6% more flights than the same week last year.
Additionally, this was a 15% increase in departures from week 14, which had recorded a 1% year-over-year drop.
This 6% year-over-year increase can largely be attributed to the market rebounding after a lull due to the Easter holiday.
So far, in 2026, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
Overall, in week 15, private jets recorded 81,970 departures worldwide.
This was a 6% year-over-year increase and a 15% week-over-week increase.
Over the first 14 weeks of last year, private jets averaged 73,100 total flights per week, so week 15 recorded a large increase above that average.
Additionally, through the beginning of April, global private jet flights have recorded approximately 4.2% more flights.
According to WingX analysts, over the last four weeks, there have been nearly 315,000 total departures worldwide.
This is a 6% increase in private jet flight activity compared to the same time period last year.
Nick Koscinski of WingX stated:
‘Despite the decline from the Middle East, which is expected these days, we saw a good week overall, with the market bouncing back after the Easter holiday, and with Augusta delivering the expecting demand surge. We’re now looking ahead at the upcoming premier events that could drive bizjet demand above normal levels, like the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, the Kentucky Derby in Louisville, and the Monaco Grand Prix.’
North America continued to lead the world in total flights, recording over 60,000.
The US, specifically, saw 59,142 of these flights.
This was a 9% increase compared to last year, and also a 17% week-over-week increase.
Florida saw the largest year-over-year increase, seeing 19% more flights.
Most major markets in the US saw week-over-week increases, with California and Texas each seeing double-digit increases.
According to WingX, Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) recorded 1,417 total private jet arrivals during the week of the Masters, from April 6th through April 12th.
The Masters, one of the most prestigious golf tournaments, helps AGS record 15 times the average weekly arrivals.
Additionally, NetJets recorded 378 total arrivals during the week, representing a 27% share of total traffic.
Even so, the recorded flights were slightly below WingX’s pre-event forecast of 1,615 arrivals.
