Week 23 saw one of the largest declines in YoY private jet flight activity, recording a 3% drop compared to last year.
Worldwide private jet flight activity in Week 23 slipped below 2025 numbers for the first time in six weeks.
Over the past week, private jets totaled just over 73,000 total departures around the world.
This was a slight step down compared to week 23 of 2025.
Overall, private jets recorded nearly 3% fewer flights year-over-year.
Additionally, this was also a step back in terms of week-to-week trends.
According to WingX, this week saw 4% fewer flights than last week.
So far, in 2026, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
According to WingX analysts, private jets recorded approximately 73,169 total departures.
This slight step back in total departures brought the year-to-date trend down by 0.3 percentage points.
Even so, private jet flights are still up about 3.6% year-to-date compared to the same time frame last year.
Nick Koscinski, WingX analyst, spoke with Private Jet Card Comparisons about the slight step back.
He stated:
‘Last week marked the first week of declines we’ve seen since April, and the sixth week of year-on-year decline this year. However, the year-to-date trend remains strong, and underlying demand remains intact, so we have no reason to believe that one week of decline in bizjet traffic will mark the start of any broader downturn.’
Additionally, over the past four weeks, private jets have recorded more than 306,000 departures. This is a 2% increase compared to the same period last year.
According to WingX, North America remains the most dominant sector for private jet flights, with the region seeing over 50,000 total flights.
This was a year-over-year decrease of about 2.1%.
Even so, year-to-date, North America is still up about 4.7%.
The United States saw approximately 48,615 of these flights, which represents a slight step back of about 2% compared to last year.
Additionally, the region saw a week-over-week decrease of about 3%.
This was largely led by two of the country’s largest markets, Florida and California, which recorded double-digit drops.
So far this year, several of the top city pairs in the US are seeing continued growth.
Los Angeles to Las Vegas is seeing 7.3% more flights year to date. Los Angeles to San Francisco is also seeing a significant increase of about 16.5%.
Other popular city pairs, such as Boston-New York and Miami-New York, have seen over 3,000 flights so far this year.
Private jet flight activity in Europe remained relatively flat year-over-year, recording just a 1.0% increase.
Both Germany and Switzerland recorded year-over-year declines, though this was offset by an 18% year-over-year increase in France.
On a week-to-week level, European private jet travel stayed flat, with France recording a 34% week-over-week increase.

Overall, the region saw fewer than 1,200 total departures. This was a 28% year-over-year decrease and a 10% drop from last week.
Africa saw the strongest year-over-year growth, recording a 5.2% jump. However, the region still only accounts for about 1% of all private jet travel.
Asia and South America both saw slight year-over-year decreases over the past week.
According to WingX analysts, Part 91K and Part 135 operations combined for 38,875 departures last week.
This represents a slight decrease of about 1% compared to week 23 last year and a drop of about 5% compared to last week.
