A 12% year-over-year increase in U.S. private jet departures boosted worldwide flights to a 7% increase, according to WingX for Week 27.
Over the past week, global private jets recorded just over 74,000 total departures.
This was a large week-over-week drop, recording approximately 11% fewer flights than week 26.
However, this was relatively expected, as private jet flight activity typically dips around the Fourth of July holiday, especially in the United States.
Even so, private jet flight activity continued to show growth, recording about 7% more flights year-over-year.
So far, in 2026, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
Overall, WingX analysts reported 74,001 private jet departures worldwide.
This was a 7% year-over-year jump, showing significant growth.
Over the last four weeks, private jets have recorded nearly 320,000 total departures.
This was about 4% more flights than the same four-week period last year, which is in line with year-to-date trends in private jet flight activity.
North America continued to account for the vast majority of private jet flights, with about 48,884 total departures.
The United States saw a total of 47,098 of these flights, a 12% year-over-year increase.
Several major US markets saw double-digit year-ovU.S.-year increases, including Florida, California, and Texas.
Even so, this was a steep 15% drop from last week. WingX analysts expected this, as past years’ trends indicate that private jet flight activity tends to drop around the Fourth of July.
Florida and Texas both saw double-digit week-over-week drops.
WingX analysts reported approximately 15,344 total departures in Europe over the past week.
This represents a 4% year-over-year drop.
This was due to an 11% year-over-year drop in Italy and a 8% year-over-year drop in Germany.
