After a successful YoY result last week, global private jet flight activity remained relatively flat compared to the same week last year.
During week 33 of this year, from August 10th through the 16th, private jets worldwide recorded 76,471 total departures.
This was relatively flat compared to the same week last year, reporting only 0.2% more flights overall.
This means that the industry was unable to capitalize on a successful turnaround last week, after recording three straight weeks of year-over-year decreases before last week.
Even so, private jets recorded approximately 2% fewer flights than last week.
So far, in 2026, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
According to WingX, private jets worldwide recorded over 76,000 total departures.
This was just 0.2% more flights than week 33 of last year.
Although this was still just a slight year-over-year jump, the year-to-date trend now sits at 3.7% growth.
This is a slight 0.1 percentage-point drop from the 3.8% trend reported last week.
Additionally, over the past four weeks, private jets have recorded over 314,000 total departures. This is a 2% year-over-year increase.
Private jets in North America recorded approximately 54,270 total departures over the past week, a 1% year-over-year increase.
The United States dominated the region, recording over 52,000 total flights.
This was a 2% year-over-year jump, led by a 7% jump in Texas.
Even so, the US saw a 2% drop compared to last week, with Florida seeing the largest decrease of about 4%.
In the US, the 2026 FedEx St. Jude Championship, the opening of the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Playoffs, resulted in a spike in business jet activity in the region.
The tournament, held at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee, generated 52 peak movements at Olive Branch Airport (OLV).
This is more than seven times the normal daily movements and a 24% increase from last year’s tournament.
Private jets in Europe reported 12,514 total departures.
This was a 3% year-over-year increase. The UK, France, and Switzerland each saw year-over-year jumps.
Meanwhile, Germany and Italy saw slight year-over-year drops.

Even so, Europe saw a slight decrease from last week, recording 3% fewer flights.
Italy led the way with a 14% drop, although Germany, France, and Switzerland recorded week-over-week decreases.
The Middle East recorded 1,733 total private jet flights, just a 2% year-over-year decrease from the same week last year.
Asia had the largest year-over-year decrease, recording 18% fewer flights.
However, both Africa and South America saw year-over-year increases.
Global Part 91K and Part 135 operations saw a successful week, reporting 40,684 total flights.
This was a 2% year-over-year jump.
Additionally, this was a slight drop from last week, about 4% fewer flights.
The US reported nearly 30,000 total fractional and charter flights over the past week.
This was a 4% year-over-year jump, led by an 8% jump in Florida and a 12% jump in Texas. These increases offset a slight 2% drop in California.
Even so, the US saw 4% fewer flights than last week, led by week-over-week drops in Florida and California.

On the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, charter and fractional operations remained relatively flat.
Switzerland was the only country to see a year-over-year increase, with the UK and Germany reporting year-over-year drops.
Part 91K and Part 135 operations struggled in the Middle East, which saw only 745 total departures. This is a 29% year-over-year decrease, though it was relatively flat compared to last week.
Asia had the largest year-over-year drop, reporting 36% fewer flights.
Meanwhile, South America saw the largest year-over-year increase in fractional and charter operations, reporting 52% more flights.
