Global private jet flight activity returned to a positive year-over-year trend over the past week, recording over 81,000 total departures.
Over the past week, private jets around the world recorded nearly 82,000 total departures.
After a down week last week, private jet flight activity rebounded, securing year-over-year growth of about 0.7%.
Even so, private jets dipped slightly from the previous week, with about 2% fewer flights.
So far, in 2026, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
Week 43 of this year, which ended on October 24th, saw a total of 81,765 private jet departures.
According to WingX, this is a year-over-year jump of nearly 1%.
Large increases in private jet flights across the United States helped propel this year-over-year growth, offsetting year-over-year drops in Central America and Europe.
Nick Koscinski, WingX Analyst, spoke with Private Jet Card Comparisons about the bounce back of global private jet flight activity after a few down weeks.
Koscinski stated:
‘Global activity was back in the black last week at +0.7%, with NBAA-BACE notably contributing to that growth. Fractional is still the bright spot, while Mexico and now Canada remain the biggest drags. On the fleet side, more jets are flying 8 than a year ago, but each is flying slightly less, and the number of jets for sale has edged up for three weeks running to 1,765, which is worth watching heading into year-end.’
Over the last four weeks, private jets have recorded 327,245 total departures around the world.
This is just 1% more flights compared to the same time period last year, a slight decline compared to the rolling four-week trends from earlier this year.
North America continued to dominate the market share of private jets, recording nearly 60,000 total departures.
Compared to week 43 of last year, this was about 2% more flights.
The US contributed heavily to this trend, recording 58,022 total private jet departures, a 3% year-over-year increase.
Florida and Texas both recorded year-over-year gains over the past week.
Another major factor in this year-over-year growth was NBAA-BACE, which brought significant private jet traffic to Las Vegas, Nevada.
Nevada as a whole recorded 32.8% more flights than last year, especially as last year’s NBAA-BACE fell on a different week.
Overall, on a year-to-date basis, North America continues to be the anchor of global growth, recording 4.4% more flights than the same time period of last year.
Across the Atlantic Ocean, Europe recorded 10,767 total private jet departures over the past week.
This was about 2% fewer flights than last year, largely due to year-over-year declines in Germany, France, and Switzerland.
Additionally, Europe saw about 2% fewer flights than last week.
The UK, Germany, and France each saw week-over-week declines.
