Worldwide private jet flights see a 14th year-over-year weekly drop in 2026 compared to only three down weeks in all of 2025.
Over the past week, global private jet flight activity fell again year over year.
It was the 14th down week of the year compared to just three down weeks in all of 2025.
According to WingX analysts, private jet flights totaled approximately 2.4% fewer than in week 44 of last year.
Private jet flight activity also fell nearly 10% week over week.
What’s more, for the first time in 2026, the trailing four weeks showed negative year-over-year growth.
So far, in 2026, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
Week 44 of this year, which ended on October 31, recorded only 74,105 total private jet flights.
The past week also included Halloween week, which is typically much quieter than a typical week in the United States.
However, this past week saw an exceptional year-over-year decline of about 2.4%.
Additionally, over the past four weeks, private jets recorded more than 320,000 flights.
For the first time this year, the rolling four-week total has declined year over year, with about 1% fewer flights than the same four weeks last year.
Nick Koscinski, WingX Analyst, spoke with Private Jet Card Comparisons about the private aviation industry’s tough week.
Koscinski stated:
‘Global activity was down 2.4% last week. Halloween week is always quiet in the U.S., and this year’s was a bit quieter than usual, plus the postponed FII conference in Riyadh sitting in last year’s numbers. Fractional is still the bright spot, while charter continues to dip. On the fleet side, jets for sale have edged up for four straight weeks to 1,784, which is worth watching as we head into year-end.’
Even so, the year-to-date trend in global private jet flight activity remains positive year over year.
Currently, the year-to-date trend is sitting at about 3.0% higher than last year through November 1, 2026.
North America recorded the largest share of private jet activity worldwide.

This year’s Halloween week was 11.2% below the previous three weeks, which is the deepest decline since 2018.
Across the Atlantic, Europe reported about 9,560 total private jet departures.
According to WingX, this is about 2% fewer flights than the same week last year.
Switzerland reported the largest year-over-year decline, recording 10% fewer flights.
Additionally, Germany, France, and Italy each saw year-over-year declines.
