October was the busiest month of the year and on record for global private jet activity, with the US recording 70% of global activity.
This past week, according to WingX, global private jet activity recorded a total of 73,356 flight departures.
Compared to the same week last year, this was approximately 4% more private jet flights.
Even so, this was a 7% drop compared to last week.
So far, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
During week 44 of 2025, private jet flight activity increased by approximately 4% compared to the same week last year.
On a rolling four-week basis, private jets around the world reported more than 312,000 departures. This was a 5% jump compared to the same period in 2024.
Additionally, October recorded over 348,000 private jet departures. This makes October the busiest month of 2025, as well as the busiest month ever recorded by WingX.
The 348,000 private jet departures in October were about 5% more than last October, as well as a staggering 36% increase from October 2019, which was before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The United States dominated in October, recording 70% of the global private jet departures. Additionally, this was led by the major aviation hubs of New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, and Houston.
WingX Managing Director Richard Koe spoke about the successful month of October.
Koe stated:
‘October smashed records with over 348,000 flights, the busiest month in our 20-year records. Growth has slowed in the US, but picked up in Europe, and is surging in ROW markets. Hurricane Melissa has also brought into focus a very active role for business aviation in humanitarian and emergency support.’
Overall, global private jet departures reported a 4% increase in week 44 compared to the same week last year.
The United States saw only a slight jump, recording 2% more flights year-over-year.
The increase in private jet flights was led by Texas, which recorded a 9% year-over-year increase. Additionally, Florida and California each saw slight increases.
However, the US saw a 7% week-over-week drop in private jet flight departures. Texas saw the lowest week-over-week decrease of about 12%. However, private jet flight activity remained strong in other major markets, such as Florida and California.
Private jet flight activity showed continued growth in Europe, recording an 8% year-over-year jump. However, this was a slight week-over-week decrease of about 12%.
The continued growth was led by Germany, which saw a 20% jump compared to the same week last year. The UK, Italy, and Switzerland each saw significant year-over-year increases.
Even so, European private jet flight activity dropped 12% compared to last week. France and Italy saw the biggest decreases, each recording decreases of over 18%.
Africa and South America also saw significant year-over-year increases, each reporting 16% more flights than the same week last year.
Additionally, the Middle East saw 6% more private jet flights than last year. Private jet growth also remained strong week-over-week, as the region saw 12% more flights compared to week 43.

Year-over-year growth continued in global fractional and charter operations, recording 3% more private jet departures than last year.
However, Part 91K and Part 135 operations saw a decrease of about 9% compared to last week.
The North American market remained strong. Year-over-year, Part 91K and Part 135 operations in the US increased by about 2%.
However, the US saw a drop of about 8% compared to last week. This was led by a sharp drop of 13% in Texas. However, Texas still recorded 9% more Part 91K and Part 135 private jet flights than last year.
Even so, Florida was the only major market that saw a week-over-week increase, recording 9% more flights. This was also 5% more flights than the same week last year.

Europe’s fractional and charter operations saw 7% more flights than last year, although the region saw 13% fewer flights than last week.
This was led by Germany and Switzerland, which both saw a significant increase of about 16% compared to the same week last year. However, these countries saw week-over-week drops.
France saw the largest drop compared to last week, recording 26% fewer fractional and charter flights. France also saw one of the largest year-over-year drops, recording 7% fewer flights than last year.
Fractional and charter operations in the Middle East remained strong, recording a 5% week-over-week increase and a 6% year-over-year increase.
Additionally, Africa and Asia both saw year-over-year decreases, with each region recording a 21% and 11% drop, respectively.
South America continued to show growth in its fractional and charter operations, seeing 20% more flights than last year and 38% more flights than last week.
