Strong demand in the United States helped lift global private jet activity 2.6% YoY, per the latest data from WingX.
Over the past week, private jets worldwide recorded nearly 80,000 departures.
Compared to the same week last year, this is about 3% more flights.
Even so, this was a slight decrease of about 3% compared to the previous week.
So far, in 2026, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
Week 40 of 2026, which ended on October 4th, recorded 79,710 private jet flights.
According to WingX analysts, this past week had no major event inflating the comparison against last year.
As a result, week 40 offered a clean read on true private jet trends.
Nick Koscinski, WingX analyst, spoke with Private Jet Card Comparisons about the most recent year-over-year decrease.
Koscinski stated:
‘Global activity was up 2.6% last week, and with no Ryder Cup in last year’s numbers, I think that’s a fair read of where demand really is. The U.S. did almost all of the work, and fractional operators are still the ones driving it, while charter has now been soft for two weeks in a row. The Gulf is back near its best levels since February, which is encouraging, but it’s still a fifth below last year, and Mexico continues to slide, now including Los Cabos.’
Additionally, over the past four weeks, private jets have totaled nearly 330,000 global departures.
After a strong week, this is about 3% more flights than the same four weeks last year, signaling positive growth.
North America accounted for the largest share of global private jet flight activity, with 57,359 total flights.
The United States saw over 55,000 total flights, which is a 4% year-over-year increase.
California, Texas, and Florida each saw slightly positive weeks.
However, the biggest year-over-year gains came from smaller-market states.
This includes New Jersey (12.7%), Virginia (24%), South Carolina (23%), and Georgia (10%).
The U.S. as a whole took a slight step back from last week, seeing 2% fewer flights.
This was largely due to a 9% week-over-week drop in Texas.
Europe saw 12,646 private jet departures last week.
This is about 2% more flights than week 40 of last year.
Italy led the way, recording a 15% year-over-year increase. However, Germany and France also recorded year-over-year gains.

This was a large step up from week 40 last year, with 5% more flights year over year.
Additionally, Part 91K and Part 135 operations remained relatively flat from last week.
The U.S. led Part 91K and Part 135 operations, with 32,424 total flights.
This is about 7% more flights year over year, largely driven by an 11% jump in Texas.
Additionally, this is relatively flat compared to week 39. A slight drop in Texas offset slight increases in charter and fractional operations in both Florida and California.
