Global private jet flight activity saw a small drop compared to last week, but remains up compared to last year.
In week 40 of 2024, global private jet activity recorded just over 75,000 total departures.
This represented a slight drop from last week, with approximately 5% fewer private jet departures.
Even so, private jet flights still reached 5% more flights than the same week of the previous year.
So far, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
This week, private jet flight activity increased by approximately 5% compared to the same week last year.
Over the past four weeks, global private jet flights have recorded 314,000 total departures. This represents an 8% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Furthermore, Q3 of 2025 was WINGX’s busiest quarter on record.
During this period, private jets recorded over one million departures. This was up 6.6% from the same quarter last year, and also a staggering 33% from Q3 of 2019.
WingX Managing Director Richard Koe discussed the massive increases the private jet industry has seen in recent weeks.
Koe stated:
‘The recent weeks have shown a surge in demand for bizjets, which we have not seen since the pent-up demand during the pandemic. The most obvious characteristic is fractional flying, with the top 5 fractional operators flying 12% more so far this year compared to last year. Eroding connectivity provided by US regional carriers could spur more users to shift to private aviation in the coming months.’
Around the world, private jet departures decreased by about 5% compared to last week.
North America reflected this, also recording a 5% week-over-week drop. However, the continent remained up 4% year over year.
Florida saw one of the largest week-over-week increases, recording 11% more private jet flights than last week. Texas saw a slight week-over-week drop, but also remains up 7% compared to the previous year.
The increase in flights in the US is primarily driven by the big three states: Florida, Texas, and California. Over the last four weeks, each of these states saw increases of over 7%.
Meanwhile, Canada also recorded the busiest third quarter on record. The country’s 26,000 private jet flights in Q3 were 50% more than in the third quarter of 2019.
Europe also saw a slight drop in private jet flights, recording 6% fewer flights than last week.
Italy saw a 20% decrease in private jet flights, one of the biggest in the region. However, Italian private jet departures remain up 3% year over year.
The UK saw a 3% week-to-week increase and a 9% year-over-year jump.
The Middle East and Africa both saw week-over-week increases, recording 13% and 14% jumps, respectively. The Middle East saw 15% more flights than last year, while Africa saw 23% more flights than last year.
On the other hand, Asia and South America saw slight decreases compared to last week, each recording 4% and 5% decreases.
However, Asia remains up 10% compared to last year, while South America saw 28% more flights than last year.
