U.S. charter and fractional growth saved the industry from a year-over-year decline in Week 41, according to WingX’s latest data.
In week 41 of this year, WingX reported over 81,000 private jet flights worldwide.
Compared with week 41 last year, that is just about 0.4% more flights.
Even so, this was a slight step up from last week, with about 2% more flights week over week.
So far, in 2026, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
Week 41 of 2026, which ended on October 11th, saw 81,524 total private jet departures.
This slow gain of just 0.4% year over year dropped the year-to-date trend to just 3.3% more private jet flights than the same period last year.
Nick Koscinski, WingX analyst, spoke with Private Jet Card Comparisons about the slow gain over recent weeks.
Koscinski stated:
‘Growth all but stalled last week at +0.4%, but I’m seeing that as last year’s Q4 surge kicking in rather than a sudden drop in demand. What we’re watching right now is the charter market, which is now down three weeks running and fell 10% last week, with North America hit hardest. Fractional is still growing nicely, so this looks like a squeeze on the more price-sensitive end of the market rather than a broad pullback.’
Furthermore, private jets have recorded approximately 328,000 departures over the last four weeks.
This is about 2% more flights than the same period last year, a slight drop in recent trends.
North America remains the largest market for private jet activity worldwide, reporting just over 59,000 total departures over the past week.
However, unlike last week, when North America drove almost all the growth, the region contributed less to the overall trend.
Instead, North America matched the global trend of about 0.4%
The United States recorded about 57,196 total departures, about 1% more flights than last year.
Year-over-year gains in smaller states offset 2% year-over-year drops in both Florida and California.
Additionally, the US saw about 3% more flights than last week, largely due to a 10% week-over-week gain in Texas.
Meanwhile, Europe secured nearly 12,000 total private jet departures over the past week.
This is about 2% more flights than week 41 of last year, a larger jump than North America.
This was largely led by a 12% year-over-year gain in the UK, offsetting drops in Germany, France, and Switzerland.

However, Europe did see a steep drop of about 7% compared to last week.
Nearly every major market in the region saw a week-over-week decline in private jet flights.
This includes double-digit drops in France and Italy.
Over the past week, the Middle East recorded just under 1,500 total private jet flights. This is about 13% fewer flights than last year, in line with recent trends in the region.
Africa recorded a 4% year-over-year gain, with just under 1,000 total departures.
South America saw one of the largest year-over-year increases, reporting 2,906 total departures, an 11% jump.
Part 91K and Part 135 operations saw success over the past week.
According to WingX analysts, fractional and charter operators recorded over 43,000 total departures.
This was about 3% more flights year over year and about 2% more flights than last week.
The US continued to lead in market share for charter and fractional operations.
According to WingX analysts, the US recorded nearly 33,000 Part 91K and Part 135 flights.
This was a 3% year-over-year jump, with Texas offsetting slight dips in Florida and California.
Additionally, the US saw 3% more flights than last week, largely due to a double-digit week-over-week gain in Florida.

According to WingX, Europe recorded nearly 8,000 total Part 91K and Part 135 flights.
This was a slight increase from last year’s week 41, largely because the UK reported a 10% year-over-year gain.
However, this was a slight step back from last week, with about 7% fewer flights.
Both France and Switzerland recorded double-digit week-over-week drops.
The Middle East saw about 10% more fractional and charter flights than last week. However, the region still saw 11% fewer flights compared to the same week last year.
Both Africa and Asia saw slight year-over-year drops, but both regions posted double-digit week-over-week gains.
South America remains the smallest market share for fractional and charter operations. Yet the region still saw the largest year-over-year gain of 84%.
