Global private jet flight activity remained relatively flat year-over-year, the second consecutive week of flat activity.
Private jets during week 38, which ended September 20, 2026, saw a relatively flat year-over-year comparison.
This was the second consecutive week of flat activity.
Overall, WingX analysts reported just over 81,000 total private jet departures worldwide, similar to week 38 last year.
This was good enough for a slight increase of about 1% compared to week 37.
This was the fifth week this year with numbers similar to last year.
So far, in 2026, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
Worldwide, WingX analysts reported a total of 81,090 private-jet departures.
Because this was flat compared to last year, the year-to-date trend fell to just 3.3% ahead of last year.
This is 0.3 percentage points below the same growth trend from 2024 to 2025.
Nick Koscinski, WingX analyst, spoke with Private Jet Card Comparisons about the drop in the year-to-date trend.
Koscinski stated:
‘Global bizjet activity was flat for a second straight week, with the year-to-date figure sliding to +3.3%, a touch behind where we were at this point last year. The most notable growth remains in the emerging bizjet markets, with Africa up 17.4% last week. The bulk of the market is very much in the US, with fractional operators still seeing lots of growth even if overall flight activity growth has recently stalled.’
Additionally, over the past four weeks, private jets have recorded 312,450 total flights.
This was relatively flat compared to the same four weeks last year, following the recent trend of the past few weeks.
Overall, North America recorded nearly 58,000 total private jet departures, continuing to hold the largest market share.
The US was responsible for about 55,981 total private jet departures.
This is about 1% more than week 38 of last year.
A year-over-year jump of about 5% in Texas offset two slight drops in Florida and California.
Additionally, the US saw approximately 3% more flights than last week, largely due to a 7% week-over-week increase in California.
Several city pairs continue to dominate the North American market. Las Vegas to Los Angeles and the return flight are the most flown business jet segments.
Additionally, Los Angeles to San Francisco and New York to Miami both recorded double-digit year-to-date increases compared with the same period last year.
Europe followed the global trend and remained relatively flat year over year, with the region recording about 13,375 total private jet departures.
Even so, several countries saw year-over-year declines, including Germany, France, and Switzerland.
