Global private jet flight activity remained relatively stagnant YoY after a few weeks of steady declines recently.
In week 37, which ended on September 13, 2026, private jet flight activity recorded about 80,000 total departures.
This was a major jump from the previous week, which saw about 73,000 total flights.
This is about an 8% week-over-week increase.
Before you get excited, the industry has now been essentially running in place for the last 11 weeks.
Compared to 2025, activity was virtually flat compared to week 37 last year.
Since Week 26, there have been four weeks of year-over-year increases, two flat weeks, and five weeks that were behind last year’s numbers.
So far, in 2026, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
According to WingX analysts, private jets recorded 80,425 total flights worldwide.
This relatively even year-over-year move pushed the year-to-date trend down to only 3.4% compared to the same period last year.
This is about 0.2 percentage points below the trend for the same dates in 2025 compared to 2024.
Nick Koscinski, WingX analyst, spoke with Private Jet Card Comparisons about the recent decline.
Koscinski stated:
‘Global bizjet activity was flat last week, with the year-to-date figure holding steady at +3.4%, although this year-to-date trend is now slightly behind where we were at this point last year. The emerging markets of South America and Africa continue to see significant growth, which has become a recurring trend in recent weeks.’
Additionally, private jets have only recorded about 309,092 total departures over the past four weeks.
This is about the same as the same period last year, showing limited growth over the last few weeks of summer.
North America remains the largest private jet market, recording just over 56,000 total departures.
The United States saw 55,459 of these departures. Even so, this was about 1% fewer flights than the same week last year.
California saw a drop of about 8%, which was largely offset by a 10% rise in Florida.
Compared to last week, the US saw an 11% bump in private jet flights.
Florida and Texas drove most of the growth, with each state posting double-digit week-over-week gains.
Year-to-date, many private jet categories have seen positive year-over-year jumps.
Light jets remain the most popular aircraft flown in North America and have also seen a 3.2% year-over-year jump in departures.
The super midsize segment is close behind, recording nearly 500,000 total departures this year.
The segment is also growing quickly, with 7.5% more flights than the same period last year.
Only the entry-level jet and super light jet have seen a year-to-date downtick in flights.
Private jet flight activity remained strong in Europe, even after a successful increase recorded last week.
The region saw nearly 14,000 total departures, up about 5% year over year.
The UK, France, and Switzerland each saw positive year-over-year gains.

Europe also saw positive week-to-week flight activity, with 3% more flights than last week.
This was largely due to a 12% jump in private jet flight activity in France, offsetting a 10% drop in Italy.
In Europe, the light jet remains the most popular private jet category, although it has seen 3.8% fewer flights year-to-date.
However, the super light jet, super midsize jet, and ultra-long-range jet segments have all grown year-to-date in Europe.
The rest of the world saw positive private jet flight activity.
Only the Middle East and Asia saw slight year-over-year drops. The Middle East continues to struggle with private jet flight activity due to the ongoing conflict.
However, both Africa and South America recorded double-digit year-over-year gains.
Part 135 and Part 91K operations remained positive over the past week, seeing over 42,000 total departures.
This was about 2% more flights than last year.
Additionally, fractional and charter flights increased about 10% week over week.
The US saw about 31,000 total Part 135 and Part 91K flights during week 37.
This is about 4% more flights than last year, largely due to a double-digit year-over-year increase in Florida and Texas.
Additionally, the US saw a staggering 14% week-over-week increase in fractional and charter operations.
Florida recorded a 16% week-over-week jump, and Texas saw a 24% increase in flights.

Europe recorded just over 9,000 total fractional and charter flights over the past week.
This is a 3% year-over-year drop. Most major private jet markets in Europe struggled, including the UK, Germany, France, and Italy.
However, this was relatively flat compared to last week, with Italy seeing the largest week-over-week drop of about 11%.
The Middle East saw one of the largest year-over-year declines, recording 23% fewer Part 135 and Part 91K flights. The region also saw a 7% week-over-week drop.
Africa and Asia both saw fractional and charter activity remain relatively flat compared to last year.
South America, which is the smallest market for Part 135 and Part 91K operations, saw the largest year-over-year jump of about 44%.
