After a down week last week, global private jet flight activity showed signs of recovery, posting a YoY jump of 0.5%.
Over the past week, worldwide private jets recorded just under 76,000 total flights.
Although this was relatively flat, global private jets posted a 0.5% total increase compared to week 35 of last year.
Additionally, private jets took a step back from last week, recording 2% fewer total departures.
So far, in 2026, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
According to WingX, private jets recorded 75,937 flights worldwide.
After a down week last week, this signals a small turnaround, with about 0.5% more flights than last year.
Nick Koscinski, WingX analyst, spoke with Private Jet Card Comparisons about the recent turnaround.
Koscinski stated:
‘As we near the end of Q3, bizjets are still up 3.5% despite a sluggish past few weeks. While the overall growth trend is up modestly, growth diverges greatly by region, with the Mideast still down double digits, North America up almost 5%, and emerging markets like Africa and South America continuing to provide a boost to the overall trend.’
This slight year-over-year jump helped to contribute to the year-to-date trend. Currently, private jets have recorded about 3.5% more flights year-to-date than the same time frame last year.
Additionally, over the past four weeks, private jets have flown nearly 310,000 total flights.
This is about 2% more flights than the same four weeks last year.
Following recent trends, North America continued to record the vast majority of flights.
The United States saw about 52,238 total private-jet departures.
This is about 2% more flights than the same week last year, although both Florida and Texas saw slight year-over-year drops.
However, the US saw 4% fewer flights than last week. California recorded a 7% drop, and Texas saw a 5% drop.
Europe recorded approximately 13,000 total private jet departures over the past week.
However, this was 3% fewer flights than last year.
Most major markets saw year-over-year drops, including the UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, and Italy.
