By-the-seat private jet operator Aero will use a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). It is coming from World Energy, a subsidiary of AltAir Paramount, for flights from its hub in Los Angeles.
It will be a 70% JET A petroleum/30% synthetic biofuel blend. Aero calls it “a drop-in solution that works without any aircraft modifications.”
In addition to the switch to biofuel, Aero’s sustainability effort includes a partnership with One Tree Planted. The non-profit that supports reforestation efforts worldwide. For every ticket booked, Aero will plant five trees to help reduce its carbon footprint.
As we previously reported, on May 28th, Aero will also expand its flight paths to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Sun Valley, Idaho. These destinations add to Aero’s existing routes from Van Nuys to Aspen and Napa Valley.
With Aero, you avoid crowded airport terminals. Instead, on the ground, you use private terminals and lounges. Seats are configured 1×1 with 43 inches of space between rows. Tickets are $1,600 each way.
