After taking a pause last week, private jet flights were once again on the rise, up 0.3% globally and 4% week-over-week through Nov. 7 in the U.S.
Compared to the same week in 2019, global private jet flights were up 18%, according to WingX on a global basis.
For the U.S., there were 17% above pre-covid levels.
WingX managing director Richard Koe warns, “The rebound in business jet traffic was expected to taper off after the summer, but the ongoing record demand, into the second week of November, underlines the appeal of on-demand travel, post-pandemic. U.S. business jet operators will be nervously anticipating demand for aircraft for the upcoming Thanksgiving holidays, with current fleet capacity unlikely to suffice.
Private jet flights in Texas jumped 8% week-over-week and were up 22% compared to 2019. Florida flights once again surged, up 3%, a 38% increase from Week 44 in 2019.
Activity in Europe and around the world all saw week-over-week declines.
