Into Africa: Over the past month, it’s the only region with positive growth in overall and fractional/charter private jet flight activity

Global private jet flight activity dipped 2% from the previous week in Week 19, with 68,831 private jet flights.

That was 8% below Week 19 in 2022.

Over the past month, according to WingX, there were 276,375 flights, a 7% year-over-year decline.

This brings us to Africa.

It is the only region in positive territory over the past month – up 17% overall and 11% in charter/fractional segments.

The bad news is it represented just 3,521 and 1,109 flights.

In the U.S., Week 19 flights dropped 4% to 48,567, an 11% decline from 2022.

Its 196,886 flights over the trailing four weeks represent a 9% drop year-over-year.

As we head into EBACE in Geneva next week, Europe saw a 10% week-to-week gain with 11,280.

Still, numbers are 6% below last year and 7% down for the past month.
