Global private jet flight activity increases 5% week-to-week but lags 6% below 2022’s levels.

Global private jet flight activity increases 5% week-to-week but lags 6% below 2022’s levels

Global private jet flight activity was up 5% from the previous week, with 71,932 departures in Week 20, according to WingX.

That was still 6% below Week 20 in 2022 when we first started to see the bloom on the boom fade.

Over the trailing four weeks, private jet flights worldwide were 7% below last year.

In the U.S., private jet flights increased 5% week-to-week, but with 50,984, movements were still 6% down from 2022.

They were 9% below 2022 for the past four weeks.

In Europe, as the industry gathered in Geneva for EBACE, flights were 3% up week-to-week with 11,592 segments.

That was 12% down from Week 20 last year.

In the past month, Europe was 10% under 2022’s numbers.

Africa (+15%), South America (+10%), and Asia (+4%) all are positive during the past month compared to 2022.

Global private jet activity for the fractional and charter operators was up 4% week-to-week with 36,340 flights.

That was 9% down from last year during the same week and 10% in the red over the past month.

The U.S. registered 26,176 charter and frax flights, a 5% gain from the previous week but still 7% below 2022.

In Europe, despite a 4% week-to-week gain, charter and frax flights were 17% off 2022 levels.

In Switzerland, despite a 2% week-to-week increase, charter and fractional operators were 20% under last year for Week 20.
